On Tuesday Social Enterprise Acumen CIC chief executive Kate Welch delivered a passionate lecture about social enterprise at Wakefield Girls’ High School. She spoke about social enterprise’s key role in bringing about social change in a sustainable way, promoting employment and strengthening communities. After recounting her journey, Kate highlighted successful British social enterprises including female owned and operated Southampton-based ‘Who Made Your Pants?’
We hope to hear about Wakefield’s enthusiastic students growing up to become successful social entrepreneurs in their own right.
